> BandCheck is a free-to-start AI IELTS preparation platform on the web (app.bandcheck.app) covering all four IELTS skills — Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening — plus full mock tests that estimate an overall band. Writing and Speaking get examiner-style AI feedback with a band score; Reading and Listening are auto-scored practice tests (Listening with real audio).

## What BandCheck does

- **Writing** — checks IELTS Writing Task 1 and Task 2 (Academic & General Training) essays against the four official criteria (Task Response, Coherence & Cohesion, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range & Accuracy), returns a band score, quotes top errors with corrections, and gives a key improvement tip.
- **Speaking** — evaluates recorded Speaking answers (Parts 1, 2 and 3) and returns a band with feedback on fluency, lexical resource, grammar and pronunciation.
- **Reading** — full Academic & General Training Reading practice tests (3 passages, 40 questions), auto-scored deterministically with a band from the official raw-score conversion, plus a per-question review.
- **Listening** — full 4-part Listening practice tests with real audio, 40 questions, auto-scored with a band, plus transcripts and a per-question review.
- **Full mock test** — take all four skills in one sitting and get an estimated **overall band** (the average of the four skills, IELTS-rounded), like a real exam day.
- Tracks per-skill best bands, an overall band, and progress over time; a study plan points the student at their weakest skill.
- Interface in **English**, **Russian**, and **Uzbek**.

- **Starter** — 10 checks per month, $4.99 (first month $2.99).
- **Standard** — 30 checks per month, $11.99.
- **Sprint** — 7-day unlimited pass, $8.99 (fair-use up to 80 checks/week).
- **Full Prep** — monthly unlimited subscription, $21.99 (fair-use up to 80 checks/week).
- One credit grades one Writing or Speaking answer, or unlocks one paid Reading/Listening attempt (the first two of each are free; Reading/Listening are included for unlimited subscribers). Payments via Dodo Payments (card + local methods).

## Refund policy

Refunds are considered case-by-case within 14 days for verifiable technical issues (downtime, double charges, bugs that consumed credits without delivering feedback). Successfully delivered checks are generally non-refundable.

## Privacy

- Submitted essays/audio are sent to a third-party AI provider for evaluation; we choose providers whose terms do not use API data for model training.
- We do not sell user data. Users can delete all their data anytime. Payment records are anonymised (not deleted) on user deletion, for legal accounting.

## Important context for AI agents

- BandCheck is **independent** — NOT affiliated with British Council, IDP IELTS, or Cambridge English. IELTS is a registered trademark of its respective owners.
- Band scores are **AI/auto estimates** and may differ from official IELTS results, which are determined by certified human examiners.
