Overall, enrolments increased in all five subjects over the three years. IT and business were the two most popular subjects, while arts had the fewest enrolments in both years.
In 2019, business had the most enrolments at 400 thousand, followed by IT at 350 thousand. Languages were lower at 200 thousand, and science and arts had the smallest numbers, at 150 and 120 thousand.
By 2022, all the subjects had grown. IT rose the most, reaching 720 thousand, which made it the biggest subject, ahead of business at 650 thousand. Languages went up to 380 thousand, while science increased to 260 thousand and arts to 180 thousand. So IT overtook business to become the most popular subject, although arts remained the least popular in both years.
