Prompt: The line graph below shows the share of electricity from renewable sources (%) in three regions from 2000 to 2020. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features.
The line graph illustrates the percentage of electricity produced from renewable sources in Europe, Asia, and North America between 2000 and 2020. Overall, it is clear that all three regions saw an increase in their share of renewable electricity over the 20-year period. Europe showed the most significant growth and became the highest user by 2020, while North America started as the highest but ended with the lowest percentage. In 2000, Europe and Asia had similar figures, starting at around 14%. Over the next ten years, Europe's share grew steadily to about 21% in 2010, before increasing rapidly to reach nearly 38% in 2020. Asia also followed an upward trend, rising slightly to 18% in 2010 and continuing to grow steadily to around 27% by the end of the period. By contrast, North America produced the largest proportion of renewable electricity at the beginning, at about 18%. After a slight drop to around 17% in 2005, the figure increased slowly over the remaining years, reaching approximately 24% in 2020.
