Band 6.0
Prompt: In some countries, more and more adults choose to continue living with their parents after finishing their education. What are the reasons for this, and is it a positive or negative trend?
In many countries, adults increasingly live with their parents after finishing their education. The main reason is financial: rent has become very expensive, and young people cannot afford their own apartment at the beginning of their career. Also, in many cultures staying with family is considered normal and even respectful.
In my opinion, this trend is mostly positive. Young adults can save money for several years and start independent life with a stronger base. Moreover, they can support their parents and spend more time with them. However, there is also a risk: some people stay dependent for too long and do not learn basic life skills.
In conclusion, living with parents after graduation is a reasonable choice if a person uses this time to prepare for real independence.
