Prompt: These days more fathers stay at home and take care of their children while mothers go out to work. What could be the reasons for this? Do you think it is a positive or a negative development?
In the past, it was normal that the father go to work and the mother stay at home with the children. However, nowadays this situation is changing and more fathers are staying at home. In this essay i will explain the reasons and say if it is positive or negative.
There are some reasons for this change. Firstly, today many women have good education and high salary, so sometimes the mother earn more money than the father. In this case it is logical that the father stay at home. Secondly, society is more open minded now and people do not judge a man who take care of his kids like they did before.
In my opinion, i think this is a positive development for several reasons. The most important one is that the child can build a strong relationship with the father, which was not common in the past. Also it shows that men and women are equal and both can do any role in the family. Moreover, it gives the family more flexibility to choose who works depend on the situation.
To conclude, the main reasons for this trend are the better education of women and the change in social attitudes. I believe it is a good thing because it creates equality and a closer family, although of course every family should decide what is best for them.
